    Active Fellow, American Academy of Ophthalmology Diplomate, American Board of Ophthalmology Fellow, American College of Surgeons Medical Board of California Active Member, Physicians for Human Rights Dr. Harrup Kaur grew up in Vancouver, Canada where she obtained her Bachelor of Science, Master of Health Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Medical degrees from the prestigious University of British Columbia with multiple academic honors and scholarships. She completed her internship at the University of California, San Diego. She received her Ophthalmology training at the world-renown Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kaur is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kaur's research interests include pediatric vision loss, screening for diabetic eye diseases, diagnostic imaging for glaucoma and thyroid eye disease. She has published articles in multiple journals, including Ophthalmology, Cornea and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. She has presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Annual Meeting and at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She completed her second book chapter last year.     Diplomate, American Board of Ophthalmology Active Fellow, American Academy of Ophthalmology Active Member, American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Stabismus Medical Board of California Dr. Hsu grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. She endured the cold winters of Cambridge, MA to obtain her A.B. degree from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Hsu then returned to Philadelphia and received her MD from Jefferson Medical College. As a medical student, Dr. Hsu became interested in the surgical specialty of ophthalmology and successfully matched at New York University (NYU) and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital in New York, NY for her ophthalmology residency. This was followed by additional surgical training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Casey Eye Institute of the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland, OR. Dr. Hsu is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active fellow of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.     MD, PhD

    Dr. Maria Govorkova grew up in Russia, where she graduated summa cum laude and obtained her ophthalmology residency and PhD degree in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Rostov State Medical University. This was followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Alameda Health System Highland Hospital, Oakland, California, as well as an Ophthalmology residency at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, California. At Stanford University, Dr. Govorkova conducted research on eye movement disorders. Dr. Govorkova has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals related to her research interests. She also holds a patent for method of preventing optic atrophy in closed craniocerebral trauma. Dr. Govorkova earned three Erdbrink Awards for best resident research at California Pacific Medical Center. She published results of her research in oculoplastics in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal. She is currently involved in a project for developing a device to guide blepharoplasty eyelid surgery. Dr. Govorkova has presented on broad ranging ophthalmology topics at California Pacific Medical Center, Lions Eye Foundation, San Francisco, and Kaiser Permanente, Santa Clara. She also presented at California Pacific Medical Center Graduate Medical Education Research Day and Northern California Chapter of American College of Physicians. Dr. Govorkova volunteered her medical services at local community organizations including Rota Care Free Clinic in Mountain View, CA and Vedic Dharma Samaj, Fremont, CA.
