Image Orthodontics combines a private practice experience with the benefits of a multi-doctor collaboration. We provide both children and adults the highest quality orthodontic care with friendly, highly-trained staff in a comfortable environment. Our orthodontists and staff are here to help our patients realize their potential for a beautiful smile. Our Orthodontist San Jose office is located on Berryessa Road, right off the 680 behind the Safeway shopping center. Our practice uses the most current appliances making orthodontics more comfortable and shortening treatment times. Computer terminals at each treatment chair allow Dr. Rene Yabar to view complete treatment records and images with a click of a mouse. Patients’ records are available immediately when needed for consultation with our patients or their dentist. The majority of our staff at this location speaks Spanish and because we are credentialed with most insurance plans including denti-cal, Image Orthodontics can offer patients deep discounts on their orthodontic treatments. Rene Yabar, D.D.S, was born and raised in Peru and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and first Certificate in Orthodontics from Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University. Wishing to continue his studies, Dr. Yabar moved to Farmington, CT where he completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Orthodontics. From there, he obtained his certificates in Orthodontics and Temporo-Mandibular Disorders at the University of Rochester’s Eastman Institute for Oral Health. He has also completed a mini-residency in dental sleep medicine at UCLA and has been active in the treatment of children and adults who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Yabar is part of the clinical panel at the Craniofacial Anomalies Center in Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital-Stanford, where he see patients with craniofacial abnormalities and treats them at Image Orthodontics. Dr. Yabar has proudly been practicing Orthodontics in the Bay Area Since 2007. Stephanie Del Carmen, DDS, MS received her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She went on to the University of Detroit where she completed her Post Graduate Orthodontic Residency. Dr. Del Carmen became interested in orthodontics when she became an ortho patient at twelve years old and has never looked back. During her residency in Detroit, she learned about connecting with patients as she studied teeth movement and facial proportions and balance. Thriving on the diversity of the San Francisco bay area, Dr. Del Carmen returned and has been practicing since 1996. In the last ten years, she has been involved in two non-profits that travel to developing countries providing dental care and palate surgery services to people in need. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Del Carmen on the soccer field, playing the ukulele and spending time with her family and crested gecko named Baby G.. She loves living in the bay area and is proud to have called it home for the past twenty years.
