Description
San Jose Behavioral Health is an 80-bed inpatient hospital that provides comprehensive treatment services for adult men and women, ages 18 and above, who have been struggling with a variety of behavioral issues and mental health disorders. The list of disorders that we are prepared to treat includes but is not limited to anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia. We can also accept patients whose behavioral or mental health issues are accompanied by certain physical health problems, including asthma, bronchitis, diabetes, and chronic obstructed pulmonary disease (COPD).

The hospital is run by very caring people. The facility itself is fantastic! The rooms are airy & have windows. They have a wonderful enclosed park where people can play basketball, play other sports, have a picnic, get outside to soak up some sunshine, etc... There are places to socialize & a very appealing cafeteria. The hospital staff use a wide variety of modalities to calm and engage patients. Patients are treated more holistically, instead of being treated like they've chosen to have, or have caused, their illness and that they're a bad person because of it. I love that about them! I have 25 years experience as a care-giver of a profoundly mentally ill person, who has been in and out of at least 20 different mental health facilities in northern California and back east. My heart and well wishes go out to anyone who is reading this!
