Mr. Suits has 17 years of experience as a lawyer handling a broad range of civil litigation in San Jose, California and founded the Law Office of James C. Suits II in 2012. Prior to 2012, Mr. Suits’ prior litigation experience included working as an Associate Attorney for Robinson & Wood, Inc. and Tharpe & Howell, LLP, as well as a Law Clerk for the Civil Liability Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Counties Served: Alameda, Contra Costa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Stanislaus. Mr. Suits is a native of Los Gatos, California and graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1993. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 1997. Mr. Suits obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2003 from the University of Southern California Law School in Los Angeles, California. During law school, Mr. Suits received high honors grades in Trial Advocacy, Evidence, and Remedies. He received honors grades in Torts II, Constitutional Law II, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Wills, Bioethics, and Sports Law. Mr. Suits was also in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. Mr. Suits has answered more than 1,400 legal questions posted on Avvo’s Question and Answer forum (https://www.avvo.com/ask-a-lawyer). Based on Mr. Suits’ contributions on Avvo, he received the Avvo Top Contributor award in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. In 2004, Mr. Suits was admitted to practice law in California. He is admitted to practice in both California state courts and US federal courts. Mr. Suits is a Member of the State Bar of California and his State Bar Number is 229990. Mr. Suits also serves as a mediator for the Civil Early Settlement Conference Program (Local Civil Rule 4) administered by Santa Clara County Superior Court.
